ORGANISERS of last weekend’s Art Fair 2010 at the RDS, Dublin were happy with the strong visitor numbers. An estimated 10,000 visitors attended over three days and sales were strong.
Exhibitors included painter and former RTÉ presenter Thelma Mansfield, whose next solo exhibition opens at the Kenny Gallery in Galway on December 4th.
The adjacent stand was taken by her son Michael Morris, also a painter whose considerably more expensive pictures entirely sold out.
Among weekend visitors to the RDS was a cabinet minister who was taken with thispiece of sculpture. The 36in by 18in bronze titled Swallows, Birds in Flight is by Dublin sculptor Ian Pollock whose inspiration comes from aspects of his daily life .
