A big pre-Christmas art and antiques fair gets underway in the Shelbourne Hall at Dublin’s RDS next Friday and runs throughout the weekend.

Some 20 art galleries from Ireland and Britain will attend, along with dozens of antiques dealers offering furniture, jewellery, silver, books and objets d’art. Items on show include (right) a pair of English Regency chiffoniers (€24,600), and (left) a Regency marble-top table (€9,600).

Opening hours: Friday (Nov 26th) 11am-9pm; Saturday (27th Nov) 11am-7pm and Sunday (29th Nov) 11am–6pm. Admission, €10.
