Christie’s to be James Bond auction agent

Memorabilia from ‘Spectre’, the third film that stars Daniel Craig as 007, will be auctioned in February and all proceeds will go to charity

Film posters, costumes and props are increasingly popular collectibles and none more so than memorabilia associated with James Bond. Christie's in London is holding an auction next month of memorabilia from Spectre – the 24th film in the series and the third with Daniel Craig as agent 007 – with all proceeds for Médicins sans Frontières and other charities.

Some of the lots will be auctioned online but the main sale, on February 18th , features an Aston Martin DB10 car "designed and engineered by Aston Martin exclusively for James Bond, Spectre" with a top estimate of £1.5 million (€2 million). Christie's cautioned that "this vehicle is sold as a collector's item; for static display purposes only, and not as a means of transport".

More affordably, a Spectre Blu-ray (disc) signed by Daniel Craig, together with a pair of blue initialled "JB" Tom Ford cufflinks worn by him in the opening scene of the film, has a top estimate of "only" £5,000. An Omega Seamaster 300 watch worn by Craig in the film has a top estimate of £20,000.

In 2012 navy and powder-blue La Perla swimming trunks worn by Craig in Casino Royale sold at auction for £44,450.
