Fingal County Council has granted permission to Castlethorn Construction for a development of 305 apartments and houses on a site beside the new suburban rail station at Castleknock.

Castlethorn has been building at the location for over four years and completed the first phase of 400 houses at Riverwood two years ago. Selling agent for the entire development, Leahy Property Consultants of Leixlip, has sold 170 of the second phase of 320 houses, priced between £165,000 (#209,510) and £215,000 (#272,990).
