A LARGE Georgian office building at 5 Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin 2, has been sold twice within a month. US insurance company Cigna, which occupies the building under a long lease, first acquired the freehold interest for £1.25 million to allow it to relocate to a modern office building in the city centre. The company immediately put the 7,000-square-foot building back on the market and has now agreed to accept around £1.1 million for it. The exercise means that it will cost Cigna about £150,900 to withdraw from a 35-year lease, which was not due to expire until the year 2016. It was paying a rent of £91,000 for the building. Agents Finnegan Menton first sold the building for £1.25 million - one of the highest prices secured for a Georgian house - while Donal O Buachalla handled the second sale.
