A former Guinness depot with development potential close to Limerick railway station and within 10 minutes of the city's main commercial and shopping areas is for sale by tender. The 1.6 acre site is expected to make in excess of £500,000. It is located on the southern side of Carey's Road on which it has a frontage of about 180 ft. There is a single-bay warehouse with ancillary offices and covered loading facilities, comprising a total floor area of 25,320 sq ft.

The property is zoned industrial under Limerick's 1998 Development Plan, but would be ideally suited for residential, commercial or mixed use, subject to the necessary planning permission. The closing date for tenders is October 6. The sale is being handled jointly by Jones Lang LaSalle in Dublin and Chesser Auctioneers in Limerick.
