The final phase of The Cloisters, a 32 house development in Clane, Co Kildare, goes on the market this weekend. Built by Cornerstone Builders, there are 14 units for sale - all of them four bedroom semi-detached homes with a base price of £139,500. The selling agent is Leahy Property Consultants, in Leixlip.
All of the 14 houses have a half-brick facade and a bay window to the front. They come in two house types. The first style has a more traditional interior with a cast-iron fireplace and seat set into the bay window. The second style is more modern and includes such details as achrome fireplace and vibrant kitchen units.
Gerry Leahy, however, says many buyers may like to combine details from each house type to meet their own taste. Both house types have sliding patio doors which offer access to the back garden. The addition of a conservatory costs an extra £15,000.
Upstairs, features include a stylish, back-lit, glass brick wall in the bathroom and an en suite just off the main bedroom.
Each house has a total floor space of 1,340 sq ft. Natural gas central heating, PVC double-glazing, landscaped and seeded front gardens, and alarms are standard features.
The houses are situated on the Dublin side of Clane in a cul-de-sac overlooking a green area and Clane Tennis Club to the front, and Abbeylands House and Equestrian Centre to the rear. The first 18 homes in the development - four bed semis - sold out last year.
Clane is one of north Kildare's prettiest villages, within 10 to 15 minutes drive from Naas. It is also within easy reach of Lucan and Celbridge. It is serviced by the Arrow train network which brings commuters into Dublin's Heuston Station in 30 minutes from nearby Sallins.
