Fruit importer Fyffes is expected to secure in the region of £12 million when it sells 138 acres with a period house and warehousing at Kinsealy, Malahide, Co Dublin. Although Fingal Co Council did not rezone the land when it last reviewed its development plan, it clearly has development potential in the medium term, given that it is within half a mile of Portmarnock DART station. It is also close to Kinsealy, where land has been rezoned for a new village-style scheme. Agents Keane Mahony Smith and Hamilton Osborne King are to sell the Fyffes land by tender on October 18th in either one or three lots. They are quoting a guideline price of £1 million for Kinsealy Hall, a period house and a gate lodge on four acres. There is a similar guide price for another five acres with 45,000 sq ft of warehousing in poor condition. If these two lots are sold separately, the agents will then sell 129 acres which are zoned "to provide for a green belt and to provide for urban and rural activities and agriculture". This lot is expected to make in the region of £10 million.
