Going all egg-shaped Shoparound

Just in time for Easter, Ideal Bathrooms has gone all egg-shaped

Just in time for Easter, Ideal Bathrooms has gone all egg-shaped. The egg-inspired Aveo range from Villeroy & Boch is centre stage at Ideal Bathroom's Walkinstown showrooms. A real conversation piece, the Aveo free-standing bath is designed to make a statement. The sensual lines of this very egg-shaped bath calls for some serious bath time.

The range has been installed in a number of hotel presidential suites and penthouses around the country. The glamorous G Hotel in Galway, for example, put it into some of its more swish suites. For homeowners looking for something different, the bath can be sunk into a marble ledge or left free-standing, explains Damien Farrell from Ideal Bathrooms.

The bath comes with a very high spec. It can be hand-built to fit your needs and fitted with a wellness whirlpool system. This includes all sorts of features, like foot and back jets, a hand-held remote control which allows for personalised settings and whisper whirlpool technology, which means that nothing can interfere with some serious relaxing. Prices start at €4,000 for the bath.

Also proving very popular with homeowners is Villeroy & Boch's new Pure Stone range. Although it is actually made from ceramic, the handsome granite-style wash-hand basin looks like it has been carved out of a block of stone. Co-ordinating furniture in beech and cherry is available for the rest of the bathroom. Prices start from €950 for the basin.

Meanwhile, Villeroy & Boch's Subway range is a big hit with the entry point market. The range has a square architectural feel to it. The price for a suite - toilet, basin and bath - is around €1,500.
