LONG-TIME Malibu resident and Irish-born actor Pierce Brosnan and his partner Keely Shaye have surprised locals by putting their recently-completed beachfront compound on Malibu’s Broad Beach up for lease – for a cool $250,000 per month for July and August.
It’s understood they couple will be away shooting the 007 star’s next picture.
Brosnan and Shaye purchased the enormous property in 2000. Rather than remodel, they knocked down the existing residence to make way for a massive, U-shaped mansion – done up in a Thai-Bali-inspired-style and dubbed Orchid House.
It commands a 120-foot wide ocean-front site, spans around 13,000 square feet and includes a total of four bedrooms and no less than a dozen full bathrooms.
It must surely be the case that anyone prepared to pay $250,000 per month for a Malibu summer let will settle for nothing less when it comes to domestic toilet facilities.
