The owners of the Harry Ramsden restaurant on the Naas Road in west Dublin are to make another attempt to secure planning permission to redevelop the site. The latest application provides for a car showroom at first-floor level and office-based industry use at ground, second and third floor levels with a gross floor area of 37,500 sq ft.

In Wicklow, John and Patrick Casey have been refused planning permission by An Bord Pleanala to convert and extend the Old Mill at Laragh East to accommodate a 30-bedroom hotel.

Meanwhile, Moorview Developments has been refused planning permission by Fingal Co Council to build 75 apartments at Ratoath Road, Finglas, Dublin 11.
