With dozens of multimillion pound houses coming on the market in the post-Easter rush, agents are looking enviously at joint agents Lisney and Gunne Residential, which managed to sell 6 Sydney Parade Avenue for £3 million (€3.81m) and some change just two days after it failed to sell at auction. The house, owned by artist Patrick O'Reilly and his wife, had a high profile campaign and the deal was clinched on Holy Thursday. The house was bought in trust by a firm of solicitors. While there was little enthusiasm during the auction, agents are taking heart that there appeared to be at least three bidders in the room able to stump up the necessary millions.
