A small scheme of 10 five-bedroom detached houses in Malahide is selling off plans with prices quoted from £650,000 for the first four houses.

Catherine O'Connor is handling sales at Dalton Mews from Hamilton Osborne King's Molesworth Street offices. The first four houses will be ready to move into by next February and the entire scheme will be completed by summer, 2001. People trading up in the village are expected to form the majority of buyers, as there is a gap in the market for new houses of this size in Malahide. The 2,300 sq ft houses will be located on a cul-de-sac off the Back Road.

Builder Croftbrook Developments has designed the new houses with a high specification. There will be twin double-height bay windows and two dormer windows in the roof.

Inside, German-made Nolte kitchens are standard on the plans, but buyers can design their own with a £15,000 allowance. Neff dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven and gas hob are also included and there is a £5,000 allowance available for wardrobes, should buyers want to choose their own.

Two of the five bedrooms will have en suite bathrooms and walk-in wardrobes. One double bedroom in the large roof space will have sloping ceiling lines and dormer windows.

Apart from the usual sitting and diningrooms, there will be a study and a Rationel conservatory leading out to a timber deck. The gardens will be a reasonable size and fully landscaped.
