Suggestions that the new homes market may be settling down have proven wide of the mark judging from the sales achieved over the past six days by Hamilton Osborne King. The company's new homes division took bookings for more than £55 million worth of new houses and apartments. A total of 300 homes were sold in three developments, Carrickmines Wood in Carrickmines, Dublin 18, Grove Avenue, Blackrock, and St John's in Ashbourne, Co Meath.
Developer Saltan probably set a record by selling 156 houses in one day, and a further 74 within a few days, at the newly opened site on the north side of Ashbourne. Prices ranged from £87,950 for two-bedroom apartments, up to £110,000 for three bed semis. Prices for a handful of these units still available now start at £120,950 through HOK and Paul Grimes.
HOK also sold 61 houses in Carrickmines Wood including the 16 houses costing between £900,000 and £1.2 million. The smaller 4/5 bedroom detached homes were priced between £540,000 and £625,000.
Capel Developments are also happy with sales at their stylish Linden development on Grove Avenue in Blackrock. Bookings have been taken for 35 apartments since the launch date. Two-bedroom apartments still available are priced from £270,000 with the average unit costing around £320,000.
