A two-year-old hotel, The Viking Lodge Hotel at Francis Street, Dublin 8, is expected to make in excess of £2.25 million when it is auctioned on May 19th by Hamilton Osborne King. The three-star hotel has a high occupancy rate with its 30 en suite bedrooms. There is also a 50-seater restaurant, bar and lounge. Turnover in the year to July last came to over £500,000. Paul Collins of HOK says that as well as appealing to hoteliers and guesthouse owners, it should also be of interest to investors who could avail of significant capital allowances. The hotel is located in the centre of Dublin's antiques area where there has been widespread redevelopment in recent years.
