Portlaoise: from €190,000
Houses in a village-style development in Portlaoise will appeal to families looking for convenient living.
Owenass Direct is launching phase one of Esker Hills, a scheme of 180 houses, from show units at Fairgreen Village in Portlaoise this week.
There are nine different styles on offer at Esker Hills and, when complete, there will be a total of 200 units at the scheme.
Prices for two-bedroom houses at Esker Hills start at €190,000 for a 75sq m (805sq ft) unit and go up to €193,000.
Three-bedroom houses with 87sq m (940sq ft) start at €195,000 and go up to €280,000 for 129sq m (1,390sq ft) units. Four-bedroom detached houses with 123sq m (1,320sq ft) of living space are priced at €285,000.
Located a five-minute walk from Portlaoise train station, Esker Hills is laid out in a village style with no front gardens and car-parking to the side and rear. Rear gardens come seeded and fenced.
Houses at Esker Hill come complete with carpets, kitchen appliances and tiles. Modern kitchens and fitted wardrobes are also part of the package and there are four options to choose from. Alarms have been fitted in the houses and they are also wired for surround sound.
Previous schemes by developer Owenass Developments include Fairgreen Village in Portlaoise and Station Grove in Portarlington.
Houses will be completed by summer 2007, according to the developer.
Enniscorthy: from €150,000
A development of three-bedroom houses and apartments on the outskirts of Enniscorthy, Co Wexford launches this weekend with Sherry FitzGerald O'Leary.
The first 12 houses and two one-bedroom apartments are for sale in this phase, out of a total of 75 units. Prices range from €242,500 to €250,000 for the terraced houses and from €150,000 for the one-bedroom apartments. Showhouses open for viewing on Sunday.
Westbury Woods is at Greenville on the Dublin side of Enniscorthy, close to the N11 and within walking distance of the town centre.
Developer Sherside has produced an impressive fit-out for these Westbury houses. They come fully carpeted and tiled, with appliances in the kitchens, recessed lighting, wardrobes and fireplaces. An oven, hob, extractor, dishwasher and washing machine are included. Buyers will have a choice of kitchen styles.
Sizes of the three-bedroom terraced and semi-detached houses are just over 109sq m (1,168sq ft) and all bedrooms have a tiled en suite shower room. Heating is oil. One-bedroom apartments in a two-storey block at the entrance to the development cost €150,000 for 47sq m (500sq ft) of accommodation and come with the same comprehensive specification.
Outside, gardens are seeded and a garden shed will be provided. House frontages are a blend of stone and cedar cladding, with wood-grain uPVC windows and cobblelock car-ports opening through to the back garden. This phase of Westbury Woods is almost completed and owners can expect to move in within three months.
