MAYNOOTH estate agents Coonan secured a particularly strong price of around £6.8 million for 47 acres of land which were recently rezoned for industrial and warehousing use at Newhall, Naas. The land, owned by a local farmer, is about one mile on the Naas side of the Red House Inn. A Naas business consortium is believed to have paid in the region of £5.6 million for the largest lot of 41 acres after it was withdrawn at auction at £4,750,000. Another lot of 2.6 acres was sold under the hammer for £510,000 while 3.6 acres made £630,000. Meanwhile a half-acre site beside Ashbourne Industrial Estate has been sold at auction for £322,000 by Ronald Duff and Associates.
