Transform a boring household space

Prestigious Textiles (prestigious.ie) has an Iona Collection for spring that features a stylised, floral watercolour polyester. It's digitally printed and works really well on blinds and cushions turning a boring neutral room into a blooming marvellous space. Normally €43.21 per metre, Dún Laoghaire-based Brian S Nolan (01-2800564, briansnolan.ie), at 102 George's Street, is offering Irish Times readers 15 per cent off the entire collection, of which two of the seven prints available are pictured. Offer ends February 5th.

Taking a stand against clutter

Valet stands are back in vogue and with good reason. You're less likely to clutter a stand than a bedroom chair that can accommodate far more stray garments. This one, 50cm by 128cm by 42cm, and made of acacia wood, is available to order at Kylemore Road-based Kian (01-6434831, kian.ie). Irish Times readers who present today's column can buy it for €180, rather than its normal price of €200.
