Irish Life sells office

IRISH Life has sold another of its sales offices in the Dublin suburbs

IRISH Life has sold another of its sales offices in the Dublin suburbs. Lambert Smith Hampton has secured almost £650,000 for a two-storey building at Howth Road, Killester, Dublin 5, which is producing rental income of £32,000 from National Irish Bank and Garland & McDonald. Irish Life is vacating the adjoining retail unit and when this is let, it should bring the yield to about 8 per cent.

The same agents are quoting a price of £360,000 for another investment property at Cabra Road where AIB is occupying part of the building under a long lease at £14,500 per annum. Irish Life's office is vacant and a three-bedroom residential unit is producing £1,000 per annum. The income could be increased to £33,500 per annum.
