Waterford estate agent Des Purcell of Purcell Properties is quoting a guideline price in excess of £1.35 million for Boots Chemists store at High Street, Kilkenny. It is one of the best retail investments to come on the market in the provinces this year and will be sold at auction on November 17th. Boots occupies 3,000 sq ft at street level and 1,250 sq ft on the first floor at a rent of £85,000 per annum. The new review in 2003 provides for an upward-only rental figure.

The premises are held under a 20-year lease from January last and are located in the heart of Kilkenny's main shopping area.
