HOUSE auctions may have slowed – but one enterprising interiors-shop owner, Tadhg Kenny, has decided to auction off some floor-model kitchens.

Maise Interiors at 48 Harrington Street, Dublin 8, is holding a sealed-bid auction of three display kitchens on Friday, November 11th, with viewings from today until next Wednesday, November 9th. Bidding starts at €7,200 for the least-expensive kitchen.

There are three lots going up for auction. Lot one is a smart modern kitchen with an off-white gloss lacquer finish. It has a recommended retail price of €18,000, and bids are starting at €7,200. The price includes all inserts, wall units, wall unit lighting and pull-out waste bins and it comes with a Neff ceramic hob.

Lot two is a contemporary, kitchen in white gloss lacquer with grey oak veneer finish on the island. It includes all internals, larders, wall units, wall unit lighting and pull-out waste bins. It comes with a range of Kuppersbusch appliances – everything from a larder fridge and larder fridge-freezer to a coffee machine. The recommended retail price on lot two is €50,000, and bids are starting at €20,000.

Lot three is a classic solid wood, hand-made, Shaker-style kitchen hand-painted in Farrow and Ball colours. The offer includes larders, upper glass units Neff appliances and a Kuppersbusch five-ring gas hob. This kitchen has a recommended retail price of €50,000, and bids will be from €20,000.
