Twenty-six two-bedroom apartments and one one-bedroom are for sale in the final phase of Chancery House, a development on Bride Street close to the rear entrance of Dublin Castle in Dublin 8. It is being sold through Lisney New Homes.

The six-storey city centre block looks out on the old brick Iveagh Buildings and the castle grounds.

Chancery House has a total of 44 apartments and retail units at ground floor level. Eighteen apartments - including nearly all of the one-bed units - were sold in an off-plans launch last September.

Prices range from €415,000 for the single one-bed unit and €480,000 to €585,000 for two-bedroom apartments with 63.3-74sq m (681-796sq ft) of space. Two huge two-bedroom penthouses with 83 and 119.3sq m (893 and 1,284sq ft) are to be custom-fitted and released at a later stage.

All of the apartments have an excellent standard of finish, with wall and floor tiling in kitchens and bathrooms, integrated appliances, oak doors, brushed steel sockets and fireplaces. The architects were Paul Duignan & Associates.

A typical two-bedroom apartment opens into a hallway with a separate kitchen off - an arrangement many prefer. Glossy ivory units with wood-look handles are topped with brown granite worktops. Integrated appliances include an oven, hob, extractor, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washer-dryer.

A good sized sitting/diningroom with electric flame-effect fireplace opens to a decked balcony. A storage cupboard with hot press has ample space for coats and a drying rack.

Bedrooms are also a reasonable size, with wardrobes and access to a balcony in some cases. Smart contemporary bathrooms have heated rails, glass shower screen and Porcelenosa sanitary ware.

A landscaped terrace with seating is provided on the first floor and two smaller terraces are at the top of the building.

Parking is underground and spaces cost an additional €50,000.

Completions are expected from July this year. The annual management fee for a two-bedroom apartment will be around €1,500.

Previous schemes by developer Temple Construction include Lime Court on nearby Frances Street and Tymon Farm, Dublin 24. Viewing is from today through to Saturday.

Show units in chancery will feature on the RTÉ programme Showhouse, to be broadcast on April 24th.
