THREE large Georgian buildings occupied by Ansbacher Bank at 50, 51 and 52 Lower Leeson Street, Dublin 2, are expected to make in excess of £2 million when they go to tender on April 19th by the Gunne agency. The sale will also include two buildings at the rear, 57 Adelaide Road and a mews building facing on to Leeson Place. The four-storey over basement buildings are all in impeccable condition and were occupied by the Blood Transfusion Service until they were acquired by Ansbacher 12 years ago. Ansbacher was recently taken over by Anglo-Irish Bank.

Gunne say the buildings would be ideal as an embassy, offices, hotel or could be converted for residential use. There are 49 car-parking spaces at the rear. Two adjoining Georgian office buildings at 48 and 49 Lower Leeson Street, occupied until recently by insurance broker Frank Glennon, are currently for sale through Shannon and Co.
