If you want to live in Howth and are able to consider a €2.5 million price, make an appointment to see The Mistings, a house with 232 sq m (2,500 sq ft) of living space on Windgate Road.
It is for sale through Douglas Newman Good and has many of the characteristics that make Howth special, the most significant of which is the situation of the house; up a steep winding hill, the road flattens when it reaches the summit and opens up to a long stretch of well spaced out houses that have a gorse-type landscape on one side and sea views on the other.
And what views: it's rare and overwhelming to see so much of both the sky and the sea at once - look down over Lambay Island, Ireland's Eye and beyond to north county Dublin.

Off this are the kitchen and an outdoor deck. The kitchen has Siematic units and is nicely finished with green-blue tiles. A family room is next to it and a door back to the hall completes a circle of flowing rooms.
At the other end of the house are five double bedrooms, one en suite.
A family bathroom is also off this corridor and at one side is a utility room that opens into the carport. Viewers will be impressed by the turnkey appearance of the house. There are things that might be changed but they are cosmetic.
