CO MEATH FROM €170,000:One-bedroom apartments are being offered at €170,000 and two-bedroom apartments cost from €225,000. A single three-bedroom apartment is available at €275,000.

Most of the units are in a prime location overlooking the open space and the hotel, according to selling agent Brendan Byrne of Sherry Fitz-Gerald New Homes .

The entire scheme has 500 homes built around large areas of open space and the restored castle, now a successful hotel and spa. The homes are a mix of houses and low-level apartments, many of which were sold from plans several years ago. Show homes will be open each afternoon this weekend.

"If people shop around they will see that these units are good value," says Byrne, "particularly for the one and two-beds which are so well located."
