IT looks like a shimmering modern palace, or a Celtic Tiger mansion, but in fact this building is a showroom, built to showcase Kilsaran’s concrete products.

Conceived when the construction business was flying, the building at the company’s HQ in Dunboyne, Co Meath, has become a bit of a landmark and has just picked up an award at the recent Local Authority Members Association (LAMA) Awards which recognise excellence in construction at local, county and national level. Kilsaran completed the building in 2009 as part of a €30 million project to enhance its 14-acre site in Dunboyne. The site is a showcase for concrete products, and includes gardens rimmed with an endless selection of paving.
