Sales Results: A large detached Victorian house at 4 Queens Park in Monkstown, Co Dublin, fetched €1.7 million at auction yesterday through Daphne L Kaye & Associates.
The two-storey over basement house, which had been guided at €1.25 million, needs considerable refurbishment. It is currently arranged as a four-bedroom house with a one-bedroom flat at basement level. While there is a large parking area in front of the house, there is just a small patio garden to the rear.
Meanwhile, in Clontarf, €1.7 million was also the price paid for Hibernia, at 159 Howth Road. The five-bedroom detached period house has large gardens front and back on one of the most prestigious roads in Clontarf. The selling agents were Sherry FitzGerald. The same agents fetched €1.525 million for a four-bedroom semi-detached house at 12 Rostrevor Road, Rathgar.
