With more than 50 buildings on this year’s RIAI Irish Architecture Awards shortlist, the selection does not disappoint.

The Public Choice Award invites the public to vote for their favourite shortlisted project and the winner will be named Ireland’s favourite building 2016 later this month.

From the People's Park pavilion in Dún Laoghaire to the GPO "Witness History" experience, to Humewood Castle's restoration to the new Lidl in Terenure, the projects are exceptionally diverse and span 17 categories.

This year’s awards received 180 entries – the highest in five years – with the shortlist narrowed down to 52 buildings.
