Shopfront: What's great about Muji is the brand's ability to take an everyday item and simplify it down to its most essential form.

This is what it has done with a new range of goods for the bedroom, just arrived at the Chatham Street store in Dublin 2. Furniture includes a slim five-drawer birch wood unit (a modern version of a tallboy) for €249 and very simple beech headboards for €299.

Accessories such as hanging rails and canvas boxes are nothing new but the bed linen is probably the best reason to take a look.

Don't expect anything ground breaking but it is nice stuff: seersucker duvet covers (€24) cotton rib cushion covers (€19) and sheets in white, black and grey.
