A few of us share, but I do all the driving. I'd rather drive than be driven. I still find it a bit tedious. When the schools are open it's very bad, though during summer it's fine.

Getting down Clonskeagh Road should be a very short drive, but it can take up to an hour to get from the Goat pub to Clonskeagh Motors. The hold-up at the Glen Of The Downs is understandable because of the roadworks.

I'm from Wicklow but there's not much employment there, nothing that I'd want to do and the jobs don't pay so well.

Petrol costs us £40 a week, which we share, but I'm running the car into the ground. I work for a finance company, so I got a great rate. If I take the train, I've a 45minute walk to Clonskeagh. The bus is worse - overcrowded and running at inconvenient times. I took the bus for two and a half weeks and it broke down twice on the journey.

But I'd still rather live here than in Dublin, although I'm from Artane. It's full of character and people integrate better now. Houses are not generally cheaper - on a par with Dublin - but I still wouldn't change.

I couldn't hack the journey in the long term.
