CO WICKLOW: €2.1M:ONE of the largest privately-owned indoor equestrian centres in the country goes on the market today at Johnstown, Arklow, Co Wicklow.

Celia Lamb of Knight Frank is quoting an AMV €2.1 million for Sleighduff – well short of the €5.1m invested in the project., It has a fine indoor school and stables, a traditional farmhouse and 40 acres of good land.

There is also planning permission for a two-storey house and six holiday home cottages. It will be sold at auction on May 20th.

Sleighduff has a particularly handsome entrance with stone walls, a line of trees and background lighting on either side leading up to electric gates. The house has been extensively refurbished and includes four en suite bedrooms, a kitchen, diningroom and livingroom. The front garden has has views towards the coastline.

The American barn and stables cover an area of 3,716sq m (40,000sq ft) with overhead glazing and high bay electric lighting for use at night.

There are 32 stables complete with cherrywood cladding and brass rails.
