Anyone with a notion of renovating a Georgian house in the Limerick area will be interested in a weekend of traditional building skills demonstrations at the Hunt Museum on Saturday and Sunday, May 10th and 11th.
Organised by the Irish Georgian Society’s Limerick Chapter, with grant aid from Limerick City of Culture 2014 and Limerick City and County Council, it will offer “free, accurate and impartial advice” on how to best conserve some of the finest historic buildings in Ireland.
The weekend will include demonstrations of the conservation of sash windows and ironwork, the repointing of historic brick facades and the restoration of decorative plasterwork.
