A round-up of today's other stories in brief
By Luas for €140,000
A one-bedroom docklands apartment with good rental credentials has come on the market through Owen Reilly at €140,000. The second-floor unit at Boyne House at Custom House Square in the financial services centre has been rented to the same tenant since it was built eight years ago. The 38sq m (409sq ft) unit has a long livingroom with a kitchen at one end and a balcony at the other. The double bedroom has a wall of built-in wardrobes. The unit attracts a service change of €1,100 and while it does not have a parking space, it does have a Luas stop right outside the block.
Cut price country living
BUSHERSTOWN House, near Moneygall in Co Offaly, has had its price cut to €775,000 by selling agent Knight Frank. The nine-bedroom house on 10 acres has been for sale for a number of years, and was originally priced at €1.3 million. Located a mile from the village of Moneygall and eight miles from Roscrea, the unusual castellated house stands on 10 acres of grounds that include a superb, tree-lined lawn. The property is approached through stone entrance pillars and has a long, winding drive as well as a rear entrance. Inside, the ground floor has a series of large rooms all with original fireplaces and ornate ceiling cornices. The proportions are lovely, but the whole needs a good deal of TLC.
