New homes: A-rated homes in Castaheany

Mix of two- and three-bed houses in batch of 12 now on sale

The Castlegrange development in Castaheany, Dublin 15, was originally launched in 2007 with 250 homes. Now Lynam Properties is building an additional 48 two-, three- and four-bed homes.

It is not Lynam’s first development in Dublin 15. The family-run company has been building in the area since 1971. Its schemes have included Roselawn, Delwood, Lambourne, Castlewood and Charnwood.

Some 12 of the new homes have been released by agents Knight Frank New Homes.

The two-beds are priced from €249,000 for 86sq m (922sq ft), and three-beds start at €299,000 for 115sq m (1237sq ft). They are a combination of terraced, end-of-terrace and semi-detached houses.

Jackie Horan of Knight Frank says the homes are likely to attract first-time buyers and families looking to trade up in the area. “You’ll get a lot of house for your money, and the quality is good,” she says.

The houses have A3 energy efficient ratings, with gas fired radiator central heating. Kitchen appliances are included as standard.

The first 12 houses will be finished this autumn, with the remainder finishing on a rolling basis through spring 2016. If the first 12 sell out, the agents will take pre-orders for the next batch to be released. A small number of four-beds are likely go on sale later this year.

Country meets city at Castlegrange, which is close to a range of amenities but within view of plenty of green spaces.

There are shops, as well as schools and sports facilities, at nearby Roselawn and Ongar Village. The development is in close range of the Blanchardstown Centre.

There is easy access to the M50. Commuters can reach the city centre via nearby rail services at Clonsilla and the new Hansfield station. Dublin Bus route 39A services the area as well.

Show homes will be on view on Saturday and Sunday, June 6th and 7th, 2pm to 4.30pm. For more information, contact Knight Frank New Homes on 01-634 2466.
