New homes: Next phase of well finished townhouses in Maynooth

Hafield is a scheme of two-, three- and four-bedroom townhouses and three-bedroom semis

Hayfield is a development of 65 homes that launched last autumn with its first 20 townhouses. Prices in phase one started from €250,000 for two-bedroom houses to a four-bedroom detached house that was asking €550,000. Six of these are now occupied.

Westin Homes is a firm that specialises in one-off housing and is run by Garret Fitzsimons and Anthony Shanahan. This is their first development.

Phase two comprises 16 A-rated properties, mainly townhouses where prices start from €267,500 for the two-bedroom units. These measure 85sq m (915sq ft). The three-bedroom townhouses, 124sq m (1335sqf ft), are selling for €320,000 and the four-bedroom townhouses, 141sq m (1517sq ft), are asking €385,000. There are four three-bedroom semis in this phase, 113sq m (1225sq ft), asking €344,500.

The brick-fronted homes have fitted Shaker-style kitchens by Cawley’s Furniture. These have a stone grey paint effect vinyl wrap finish, Formica worktops and matching upstands and splashbacks.

The kitchen comes with a Franke sink and tap but excludes appliances. The bedrooms come with fitted Shaker-style oak-lined wardrobes, also by Cawley’s.

The bathrooms and wet areas are tiled as per the showhouse, which was designed by The Fabric Mill.

Maynooth train station is about a six-minute walk and the estate is located close to the M4 Dublin to Galway road.

The houses are being sold by REA Coonan.
