Town Pub Developments with an address at Terenure Place, in Dublin 6 has applied for planning permission to demolish the Lough & Quay public house, at the Ninth Lock Road in Dublin 22.

The pub is to be replaced by a three-storey retail development with basement car-parking, a new pub with a 160 sq m bar and a 240 sq m lounge. There will also be a bookies, an off-licence, two restaurants and two function rooms with ancillary kitchens and stores. Another two-storey building will be for taxi and security offices. A residential element comprises six two-bedroom staff apartments.
