Sign of the times as rival agent raises flag behind enemy
When top commercial agents CB Richard Ellis decided to move their HQ to the prestigious Connaught House on Burlington Road in Ballsbridge, owners Treasury Holdings naturally appointed them to let out several available floors.
It probably seemed like the easiest job in the world given the snazzy finish of the building, and the fact that Dublin was awash with property-related cash.
Two years on, two of the floors still lie vacant, and Treasury has had to call in another agent to help CBRE find some tenants.
By all accounts staff were aghast to arrive at the building recently to see that HT Meagher O'Reilly had hoisted their own sign out the front for all to see. Ouch!
