COMMERCIAL property consultancy Atisreal Ireland has announced the appointment of Keith O'Neill. He joins from Jones Lang LaSalle and will be working as a surveyor in the firm's office department.

Architect firm Douglas Wallace has acquired Ferguson Wheeler, a leading architecture practice based in Belfast. The combined practices will have a headquarters in Dublin and a total of 160 staff across Europe. The company expects an additional 75 staff to come on board by 2010.

Meanwhile, Cork-based architect firm KOB has appointed three new directors. The new directors are architects Hugh Thompson and Izabella Sikora, and accountant Patsy Daly has been appointed finance director. The company, which has a staff of 29, has also appointed five new associate directors.
