Dublin's highest apartment - the Penthouse suite on floor 15-16 of Millennium Tower, Charlotte Quay, Dublin 4, fetched a record price of around £2 million when it was sold prior to tender last month. A second penthouse in the Millennium Tower is now on the market through Hooke & MacDonald - the date for final receipt of tenders is November 7th. The Lansdowne Penthouse on the 13th and 14th floors of the tower could well become the city's second most expensive apartment as it is expected to sell for up to £1.5 million.

At 1,200 sq ft, it is considerably smaller than the top floor suite and has two bedrooms. The lower floor has a bathroom, a spacious living and dining area and a kitchen.

An imposing glass encased spiral staircase leads to the 14th floor, which has an atrium style livingroom with panoramic views of the city. Off this living area is a private sun terrace. A car parking space will cost £35,000 extra.

The development is situated on the water's edge of the Grand Canal Dock and was built by Danninger Ltd and designed by O'Mahony Pike architects. The Lansdowne Penthouse is on view by appointment only.
