After months of pre-planning with a decorator (Philippa Buckley) - and spending a small fortune on beautiful flooring and furniture - and just three months after moving in - I decided to go and live in London!

What is the best thing about the apartment?

It is fantastically well laid out and lets in tons of light (especially with the windows that go all the way to the floor). I have been in apartments that have had more square footage and yet seem pokey in comparison.

This is a fantastic development to live in. The apartment faces onto a shared garden area. There are lovely neighbours and there i s a nice sense of community here without it seeming suffocating.

And the neighbourhood?

Portmarnock has great facilities for everyone. The beach is less than 10 minutes from the apartment. There are two golf clubs nearby and there is a leisure centre too.

There are pubs in the village and Tomango Nightclub is at the other end of Portmarnock just before Malahide.

Howth and Malahide are both only a short drive away with all the pubs, restaurants and beautiful walks that they have to offer.

Who would like your home?

Young professionals or empty-nesters who want the best of both worlds. They will be attracted by the easy access to the city centre on the Dart, the short drive to the M50 and the airport while still retaining a home that is a sanctuary from work.

The apartment is for sale through Sherry FitzGerald in Malahide and can be viewed on both myhome.ie and sherryfitz.ie.
