The new £8 million headquarters of PJ Walls Group, one of Ireland's leading building and civil engineering companies, at Northern Cross, Malahide Road was officially opened by Taoiseach Bertie Ahern last week.< Part of the Walls' business campus development, the group headquarters is the first building to be completed in what will eventually be a 600,000 sq ft facility. On completion there will be 15 units of office space. Presently there are two further units of 45,000 sq ft and 30,000 sq ft under construction at the North Dublin site. James Smyth Architects designed Walls new headquarters and are responsible for the overall plan for the business park. The North County Dublin area is being strategically targeted by Dublin Corporation as the focus for significant new residential, commercial and industrial development in the coming years. The Walls Group has been involved in many major building including the £30 million Westin Hotel in College Street, which is still under construction, the Veterinary College at UCD and office development for Dublin Corporation at Dawson Street.
