DECISION TO REFUSE

DUBLIN CITY COUNCIL - APPLICATIONS

Location: Tara Towers Hotel and 205-221 Merrion Road and Bellevue Avenue, Dublin 4. Proposed development: demolish structures (inclusive of the Tara Towers Hotel, Llandaff Terrace, Llandaff House and St Columcille's House) for a 25-storey building accommodating a 156-room hotel, meeting and conference rooms, restaurant at second floor level, reception and lobby area and office/administration plus 82 residential units (48 three-beds, 15 two-bed plus study units, 15 two-beds and four one-beds) with 199 car-parking spaces at basement level and 171 bicycle spaces at ground floor level. Location: site known as Boland's Mills, Ringsend Road, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin 4. Proposed development: mixed-use scheme of offices and a hotel. Four buildings on site are protected structures and these will be refurbished and incorporated into the overall development. Demolish silos, storage sheds and a former office for a scheme of 41,223sq m (443,720sq ft) comprising three main office blocks and a central services/lift core ranging from 13 to 20 storeys; a hotel incorporating the refurbishment and conservation of a protected structure along Ringsend Road ranging from four storeys to six storeys; a five-storey office building overlooking Grand Canal Dock with 183 car-parking spaces and 387 bicycle parking spaces at basement level. DECISION TO GRANT

Location: Busáras (protected structure), Store Street, Dublin 1. Proposed development: cleaning and repair of bronze glazing and brickwork at ground level and stone cladding in the bus yard, new entrance on both sides of west-facing entrance lobby consisting of bronze automatic sliding doors, new cladding and uplights to the underside of the canopy, new signage above doors, new ground lights, bins, lampposts and mattwell internally and new internal information panel. ATM enclosure is to be removed and a new ATM and doorway will replace the north-facing bar entrance. New bus parking bays in the bus yard, footpaths, kerbs, bollards, bus signs and line marking. FINGAL - APPLICATIONS

Location: townland of Ballymun at St Annes, Cloghran, Swords, Co Dublin. Proposed development: temporary permission for five years for scheme with surface car-parking for 4,157 cars, a single storey security hut/office, seven bus shelters, six entrance barriers, pay station, relocation and redesign of junction with the Naul Road (R108), associated fencing, and site works. Location: Mulhalls & Dun Mhuire, Coolock Lane, Santry, Dublin 9. Proposed development: demolish adjoining semis and outbuildings for 32 apartments (seven one-beds, 20 two-beds and five three-beds) in a part three and four-storey building over basement with set-back fifth storey penthouse level, 49 car-parking spaces (11 surface and 38 basement), landscaping and site development works. SOUTH DUBLIN - APPLICATIONS

Location: Stoney Road, Rathcoole, Co Dublin. Proposed development: 288 residential units in a mix of houses, duplexes and apartments, 295sq m (3,175sq ft) crèche, 398 surface car-parking spaces and associated development works. Applicant: G, J & R Stanley.

DECISION TO GRANT

Location: site bounded by Ballycullen Road, Dalriada, east/west Distributor Road and new access road, Ballycullen, Dublin 16. Proposed development: realignment of the Ballycullen Road, provision of one vehicular access from the realigned Ballycullen Road, one vehicular access from the new access road to the east of the site, four pedestrian accesses, crèche/medical facility, 147 dwellings in two five/six-storey blocks, 11 three/four-storey blocks and the balance in two/three-storey housing with underground car-parking and site works.
