Yet another hotel is to be developed along the Naas Road in west Dublin. South Dublin County Council has granted permission for a three-storey apart-hotel at the rear of Joel's Restaurant at Newlands Cross. The facility will have 53 self-catering units based on a three-star system.

In west Dublin, the planners have cleared the way for 20 two and three-bedroom apartments and duplex units at the Salmon Pool in Islandbridge. The site will have parking for 28 cars.
