Cosgrave Homes has sought outline planning permission for a £50 million development of town centre facilities and apartments on a 22-acre side beside Blanchardstown Town Centre in west Dublin. The site is located on either side of a new relief road which will link the Clonsilla road with the town centre. The planning application seeks permission for three office blocks with a total floor area of 53,000 square feet; 10 mixed retail warehouses with a total area of 140,000 square feet, a hotel, restaurant, medial centre and a bank or creche. The application also includes six four-storey apartment blocks with a total of 108,000 square feet. Cosgraves have set a two-year time frame for the development once they move on to the site early in 1998.
