Plans to provide a 120-bedroom hotel on the site of the former Tara Co-Op premises at Cooldrinagh, in Lucan, Co Dublin, have been blocked by South Dublin County Council. The owners of the 18.5-acre site had planned to demolish the existing five-storey warehouse and office building and replace it with a three-storey over basement hotel and leisure centre. Access to the site was to have been from Leixlip Road.
