Lisney has sold a 23-acre site within Seagoe Industrial Estate, at Portadown, to a local developer for a reported £400,000 sterling, equivalent to £17,500 an acre. The land, off Seagoe Road, close to the Royal Mail Parcel Force depot and one mile from Portadown town centre, is currently in agricultural use.

The same agent has also negotiated the letting of the former Ambler's factory at Hillhead Road, Ballyclare, Co Antrim, to engineering group FG Wilson. The rental of £320,000 per annum on the entire 112,000 sq ft factory represents a level of £2.85 per sq ft. There is extensive car-parking on the site which is adjacent to the Sandyknowes Roundabout on the M2 Motorway. Lisney said that although the landlord has carried out extensive improvements to the factory, the rental level indicates that the market for industrial space outside greater Belfast is strengthening.
