The latest UK fashion retailer planning to move into Dublin is French Connection, which has leased a shop along the Clarendon Street frontage of the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre. The company, will be paying about £250,000 for a unit which has 1,250 sq ft at street level and a further 4,750 sq ft on the first floor, previously occupied by The Design Centre. French Connection is run by UK businessman Stephen Marks, who is also the driving force behind another label, Nicole Farhi. Another British fashion house, Karen Mullen, recently opened a 2,000 sq ft shop at the centre. Larry Brennan of Hamilton Osborne King is handling lettings at the centre.
