Investors who want to take a bet on having land rezoned and seeing its value increase substantially may be interested in the forthcoming auction of 38 acres at Kilmashogue Lane in Rathfarnham, Dublin 16.
Estate agents Elliott & FitzGerald are quoting a guide price of £3 million to £4 million for the land which has been owned by the Fetherston family for three generations. The site occupies an elevated position almost opposite the entrance to St Columba's College. It is located adjacent to the Southern Cross extension to the M50. The land is currently zoned "to protect and improve rural amenities and provide for development of agriculture."
