The latest Dublin office report from Gunne Commercial says that despite the huge volume of office space under construction in the suburbs, there is little danger of an oversupply developing in the immediate future. An estimated 2.12 million sq ft is currently reserved. As the supply increases in suburban locations, rents have stabilised at £19 per sq ft in Sandyford and £16 per sq ft in locations such as Parkwest, Citywest, Blanchardstown and Swords. By comparison, prime rents have gone to £36 per sq ft although several short-term lettings have been agreed above this level.
