With the Liffey Valley shopping centre on target to open towards the end of this year at Quarryvale in west Dublin, the developers have now secured planning permission for a large retail warehousing complex on an adjoining site of 25 acres. Joint developers O'Callaghan Properties and Grosvenor Estates have secured permission to provide 330,000 sq ft of retail warehousing - more than the space that will be available in the shopping centre. Individual buildings will vary in size from 10,000 and 40,000 sq ft.
A short distance away, Dunloe House also plans to provide retail warehousing on part of an 18-acre site it recently acquired beside The Mill Shopping Centre, in Clondalkin, which it owns. Also in west Dublin, Green Property and Cosgrave Homes are awaiting planning permission for additional retail warehousing close to Blanchardstown Centre.
